OK, so there WAS piping in later '29. That would fit.

Thanks!

Fred,
You will get many opinions on this forum. Many Model As have had many changes over the years. Unless you come across that "barn find" that was parked in the late 30s or 1940s, chances are you don't have an original example. Unless you are striving for a fine points award winner, install an interior that you like! You aren't hot rodding the car. Make changes and improvements that can be easily reversed. If you change out original parts, box them up. That way if the next owner wants it factory original that can be accomplished more easily. I believe that we are caretakers of vintage cars and historic homes and should not destroy their historic vale with our changes. In spite of that, given enough time and money anything can be restored.

Fred sorry not much help on the 'pleat' issue, I do recall our original very early January '29 Tudor not having pleats in the front seat when I peeked under the vinyl covering again from a 60's 'restore must have been the thing to do then.

One question: How does that body stamp translate?? Atlanta Assy.? Thanks.

Here's where Steve Plucker's recent book Assembly Plants comes in play for good reference.
Yes, Atlanta was A or AA, but I don't know how the number would translate.
