Default Did you know

The Early V8 Club's museum, in Indiana, is now COMPLETE and OPEN. Wow, what ONE CLUB can accomplish. I think the MARC and MAFCA foundations are still trying to raise money to buy the land for their separate, and probably pretty much the same, museums. AH, egos.

If I am not mistaken, I think MAFFI is taking hold of the reins and are working to get the museum for the Model A Ford going. I believe MARC and MAFCA are working whith them also.

What a shame that MARC, MAFCA, MAFFI and the other Ford Clubs can't get together and come up with a museum for all Fords. I realize that it could not be located where each entity wants it. But all the other museums are not located exactly where we individually would put them.

Default Model A museum

MAFFI is partnering with the Gilmore museum in western Michigan to establish a Model A museum there. They are currently working on a contract which I am sure is a complicated process.

They also have a raffle going on a 1930 Tudor sedan through the various Model A clubs to support this project.

The establishment of a museum is a very expensive and time consuming proposition. I would ask those reading this "Are you a member of MAFFI?" It fine to say MAFCA / MARC / MAFFI should do this and that but MAFFI has stepped forward, after many years of fundraising and promotion, and is going to make this museum happen.

Also, a few clubs have donated a big chunk of $$$$ to support MAFFI and this project in particular -- has your club "stepped to the plate?"

MAFFI has told me that they will have the building up by the MAFCA 2012 convention in MI. Sounds like they are right on top of the process.

Does anyone other than the MARC and MAFCA national board members think that having two national Model A clubs is a good and efficient thing?
I DON'T. How could we combine into THE MODEL A FORD CLUB.? What could I do to start the process? Is anyone else interested in working on this or are we all ok with the way it is. It's going to happen someday when there aren't enough of us left to sustain two clubs and each club's dues becomes really expensive.
