Default touch up paint

I need some touch up paint for my ’29 cabriolet. The color looks close to the stock color on the ’37 Ford coupe I had, but I’m not positive. The online paint charts I’ve been looking at show an Andalusite Blue for the upper body, but that blue looks a little darker than what I’ve got. I don’t want to use a darker pain, but a little bit lighter would be OK. Ant suggestions? I’ve included a picture that shows the true color of the car the best.

Your best bet would be to take the car to a paint dealer of your choice and have them match the color. To do anything different could well result in other problems.
Good luck,

Rex, I live so far out in the country that the nearest auto body shop is at least 35 miles away. I would like to touch up some of the scratches before actually driving it if possible.

I bought some touch up paint from APS Tower Paint http://www.apstowerpaint.com/index.php for a couple of chips on my Town Sedan. You could try them as they mix to the paint code. They even put it in a rattle can for you.
I think I got lucky with the Kewanee Green as it was close but the Elkpoint Green was way off. I'm not bad mouthing APS as I knew I was taking a big chance that the paint would match.
I think you would be much happier with the results if you had your paint matched.

Most paint stores can computer match colors. Take off a piece,(maybe the hood top) and take it to the paint store to be matched.

Glenn offers a very good suggestion. The hood is easily removed and transported to the paint store.
Good Day!

Then cover it with clear first then go.
