Default special blue vitreous bumper blue paint?

Does anyone know the best way to get an original blue bumper bracket for mid-1930 Cabriolet painted on and where to get it done or where to buy it and spray templates?

thanks

Model / hobby shops sell those little bottles of paint for model cars. I believe that they have a blue paint that is a great match. You could airbrush the paint yourself. (Testers is the paint brand). Hope this helps. Jeff

Do a search as this has been discussed before, even with description on how to template paint.

The small bottles of blue paint that vendors sell works quite well brushed on. The paint flows well and there are little or no brush marks when the paint is dry. The paint has a tendency to dry out in the bottle within a year or two, even when the lid is sealed well, so you need to use it up quickly.

I got some blue reflective tape from a police officer. It is the same type of material as the red and silver reflective tape, only it is blue. I think it is about the correct color, and can be applied without brush marks or runs. The big plus is that it reflects light and is at least a small safety improvement.

I had mine done by Jim Brand. He used a template to get the soft edges. He also did the black on the instrument panel. He does very nice work.

I used the reflective tape and have been really pleased with the results. Both front and rear bumper clamps, easy to cut and fit.. not JS worthy, but safety being seen for a driver is a must.! Another set could be kept on hand and easily changed for judging if needed.

That looks nice. I did something similar, but I have red in the back and silver in the front. I haven't seen that blue reflective tape. Do you remember where you got it?
