Oil
I have a case of five qt 20/40 (never opened) of Havoline motor oil. Probably at least 5 years old. Are these any good to use?
Is there a shelf life?

Re: Oil
I'd use it without a second thought.

Re: Oil
It's been in the ground for 65 million years, I wouldn't think five more would cause any problems. :-)

Re: Oil
Strictly speaking, the mfr's say the shelf life of the additives is 5 years. I don't think I'd fret too much, particularly if you change based on time vs mileage.
