My Galaxie has a front bench seat with fold forward seat backs,
It the up position, I find the front seat back angle slopes back too far The seat back has a seat back scuff plate that it rests on has no adjustments.

looking for a solution other than using sort of seat cushion.

I'm not familiar with your seats, but if the scuff plate is attached with bolts/screws maybe you could shim it?

How about shimming the seat rear mounts? I looked at my 63, and you're right, no adjustment. Must've been the Mustangs that had an adjustment 'bolt.'
