The brass tube is metric OD. I got mine from a model aircraft supply house. Cost almost nothing. Ron W

Re: Model b zenith carb. Power jet tube
You can fairly easily make one from a model A Zenith idel jet. You need to turn the threaded nut off and cut to the proper length. I've done this wirh my bench grinder. I've never bought a power jet and have made my own. I had a bunch of used jets. I needed a power jet and none were available at the time that I knew of. when I determined that a Zenith idel jet was the right diameter to fit the hole, I figured I didn't have a lot to lose if I messed up a couple of junk jets in the process. It worked good for me. Sometimes it pays to be handy

I see Vince is back on Ebay with a 'newly listed' on the power tubes.

That's a real shame that Vince is no longer on this site !!. I saw him as someone who had agreat deal of knowledge about early Fords . He also has spent a lot of time building up his website for everyone's benifit !!!
I could have ruined a Diamond block B engine that I had put the repro adjustable lifters in . Lucky for me that Vince chipped in and said that it would trash the original cam because the lifter feet were to small diameter . John Cochran |

Re: Model b zenith carb. Power jet tube
Smaller lifter feet have also got to effect duration. Some engine builders still use the colony lifters .
