Default cowl removal

hello-regarding 28 phaeton cowl removal-are there any tack welds holding it in place? my car is very rusty and they are nearly impossible to find and i dont want to spend time drlling out suspected tack welds when there wasn't one [ which i've done in the past].
also any tips to make the removal job easier would be greatly appreciated. i'm painting the car by and restoring body parts by takingg them off the car.
thank you in advance.

Drill out and remove the rivets first, then gently wedge a screw driver or puddy knife down the seam until you can tell where the weld is, then drill it. After the top one is drilled move the screwdriver down and repeat. Most have 4 spot welds also. I do not think my early 28 rdstr pu had any spot welds, but the June of 28 business coupe did. My thinking is the spot welds were added to the assembly process when the firewall/cowl design was changed. Rod
