Sort of new to the Barn.
Hey Fellas
I'm kind of new around here and thought its time I do a proper intro. I'm a youngster in the A world as I turn 40 next month but my dad had a 30 coupe when I was born. I'm not positive but I think i attended my first swap meets in the womb. By the time I was 3 or 4 dad had sold the coupe and purchased a 31 steelback Victoria he still owns the car to this day along with some others. As quite a few of my generation I got lost in air cooled German cars in the 80's. Then by the late 90's I was back playing with vintage American steel but as hot rods and customs. Having always the desire to own a stock A, I saw my dreams come true in January with the purchase of an early 31 deluxe coupe (built in December of 30 at the SF plant). The car has registration that go back from the late 60's to the late 90's at the same address and name in Modesto Cal, so if anyone from that area recognizes it please PM me. The gentleman I bought it from was going to hot rod it but didn't have the heart too, he only owned it for a short time. My coupe shares its garage with my 24 Dodge Brothers Touring car that is getting souped up a bit. Yes I'm still a hot rodder too. Its a long term project but one day... Pops, his garage buddy and my coupe An artsy shot. My youngest son in his A. That's about it. Thanks everyone for the knowledge I've already used from the barn!!!!!!!!!! |

Nice looking coupe and I like that grin on your sons face. Make sure you put photos on HAMB when you get busy with the Dodge.

Thanks Bill. I've been on the Hamb since the start. I'm like member 500 and something. That site has just gotten to big for me, I rarely post anymore. Truth is the "Vintage Shots for Days Gone By" is about all I look at anymore.

Re: Sort of new to the Barn.
Thanks Bart
Sometimes hes a bit too involved. HAHAHA. My 11 year old is pretty good at fetching wrenches and being a "hold this for a minute" guy. The 5 year old, well he's 5, nuff said. |
