Default Restoration Begins....Finally!!!

After 6 years of delays including 2.5 years off for throat cancer treatment (very successful....good as new almost), the total restoration of my 31 Deluxe Tudor has began! The car is the one in my picture to the left.

Excited!!

Continuing successes to you Curt...Hey, just as an aside, I put Styrofoam pipe insulators over my running board brackets to keep from busting my chins...the last time I didn't I crushed my Tibilias Anterior and was in bed for a week, and then in a cast for five months to avoid surgery.

Now I take the $*&##* things off and rivet them back on toward the end.

Swoff

Congratulations, on both accounts! Remember, pictures are priceless-that and we love them. I see you are from Ottumwa, do people there still remember Radar O'Rielly from MASH? Don't know if the actor even lives there anymore.

Looks like a great project. Those that have been where you are and finish by driving it out of the garage know what a treat you are in for. Best of luck.

Good news on both fronts. And good advice about the running board brackets.

Swo4rd....great advice. I have mine wrapped with soft material taped with duct tape. I am very tempted to take em off!

To the rest...thanks for the responses and encouragement. Will be frequent pics and requests for HELP i am sure....

Reference Radar OReilly....there actually was one. He grew up in Ottumwa...served in field hospital MASH unit in Korea...and his commanding officer was the author of the story. The actors in the show were based on actual army men and women in the MASH unit. He moved back to Ottumwa a few years ago after retiring as a college professor out east somewhere. Due to health reasons left Ottumwa recently to move closer to family. He shared the story with many groups and people here...was very active in historical functions. His name was not OReilly.
