Default Ford ignition and rain

As the Aussie members know,( specially those in NSW,) the weather in the mid west is heavy rain at the moment
This is a plug for the stock ford 6v ignition setup, the last two days we have done 528 and 427 ks ,both in the pouring rain, the engine never missed a beat,
The only time it missed a small bit was when I lifted the bonnet to get the rainex out of the tool box and the engine got soaked,it only took a few miles to dry. Out and run OK again,
We have decided to wait out the bad weather for a few days now.

I know that I was doin' my motor good.. Maybelline, why can't you be true...

Sounds like its a bit 'tropical' Lawrie, might be best to wait out the storm. you've really given the old gal a work out this time.
Make sure your phone is working when you get home!

I once drove 400 km in a cyclone to get to my fiancé for Christmas in the heaviest torrential rain you could imagine. The crab distributer never gave an ounce of trouble luckily although the roadster interior and myself were soaked to the bone. By the time I got there the highway was flooded the whole way from Cairns to Home Hill so luckily I wasn't stuck on the side of the road.
Stay safe Lawrie and say g'day to Carol.

In the old days when the Burdekin River [in NQ] was in flood; nothing could get over/passed it. The water used to go over the railway line as well.
Used to swell to a couple of kilometres wide.

Oh yes before they built the Burdekin dam. Hardly ever see the river reach bank to bank these days. Haven't had a real wet season for along time either.
