Water Temp Sensor for Electric Fan
In my new engine I wish to retain the original temperature sensors for the dash gauge. And the passenger side head will have a heater hose emanating from it. So far so good.
I'm wondering where to add the electric fan temp sensor.?. I don't want to use a goofy Y pipe as the sensors will not be in the heads to read properly. So I am requesting what is normally done to accomodate the added sensor? |

Re: Water Temp Sensor for Electric Fan
The ones I have used go in the port after removing the drain pitcock. They have an adjustable thermostat for when you wanted it to come on. Parr Automotive is where I got mine. Not sure if that is what you want.

deuce lover gives a good suggestion. You could also have a radiator shop solder an additional fitting in the tank to accommodate the sensor.

Re: Water Temp Sensor for Electric Fan
I put my sensor just below the top tank in the radiator. Just pushed it between the tubes. works fine.
