Donald,if you could purchase Model A mechanics handbook by Les Andrews. It

would describe removing a column step by step and help with all other jobs.

Available at Snyders and others.

Hi Bill. They have all gone in Australia. Can use an American one but the problem is when you turn the wheel to make a left turn the vehicle heads right and V.V. I have another ford steering box but won't take the light and horn controls. I could of course mount same on shaft which would not be difficult. I have just acquired a 30 steering box and have not decided which one to use. Spose I let you know sometime in the future. cheers, gary

i have the Model A handbook, read it, and it kind of looks like i have a project that looks like it will be interesting and lots of fun. i have read the posts of how good the F100 box works, so i know it will be worth the effort. this my first Model A and i am having fun with it. thanks for the advice and help.. i have done a bunch of early 50s fords and this Model A is sure different and also well supported on the parts supply side of the hobby.
