You forgot that they made the best product they could at the lowest price.

They stole my idea! I haven't produced a phone app yet.... still have to learn to make those.

For what it's worth i have a prototype 6 volt positive earth i made for a model A sitting on the bench next to me. Automatic advance so once it starts you just pull the lever to full advance & leave it there.
Best thing is, it also uses the original points so you swap 2 wires and it's back to original points system.


Wouldn't be too hard to adapt it to a flathead, but you'd have to jamb something in the weights to leave it at full advance, or tie them together with wire.
