Default At the local show

Here's a bit of candy from the local show we had here on the weekend [racing for MNDi] We don't get many flatheads at the shows, but this one has been popping up a few times now. All I know [because a friend of mine has worked on it]is that engine was built by H&H and shipped to Western Australia.
Is it a real "hotrod" I'll leave it to your choice

Thumbs up Re: At the local show

Beautiful! Looks like something that could have cruised down Van Nuys Boulevard back in the day! -Bob

When I go to our local show, I'm usually the only one there with a flathead, seems like everything has to be a rat rod or sled or some kind of foreign drifter. They ask me what kind of engine I have, I laugh and ask them when they were born. Al

That is some nice candy, like both of those vehicles. Mark can back me up on this, Flatheads are alive and well here in Vacationland. I have seen more and more this year than previous @ some of our local shows.

Went to a local show Sunday and a car builder talked about a customer who's Flathead eng cost so much that the poor fellow couldn't finish the body work [costs]. And it is getting worse for the flathead builders. $4 grand is often a starting point! Newc

the 37 I dont think you would have liked , it was orange and a streetrod with all the bling stuff, I'd almost guarantee it had a scrub in it. Im glad you liked my pickup, I always get a lot of people come and want to talk about it take pictures for their dad or tell a story of " back on farm" They love it when I say I drive it daily too.
Yes the 32 did sound great BUT nowhere near as good as my friend Les Moran's blown 32 that has the best sound ever!

I like your truck better. Not too much stuff added either. Not like you are going to put a rubber rat on the tailgate or other.

If you want to draw attention to your old pickup. Put a 60s pitbike... mini bike in the bed. People like it. taco or Indian.

I was at a show about 15 years ago and a guy walks up and tells me mine was the only flathead he'd seen all day. That's how I met Lars from Sweden.
