Default Bob Drake

There has been some criticism about him. I have purchased a lot of product from him in building a '40 coupe and a '41 pickup. I have never had a reason to complain about the service or product. Last friday morning I ordered a bumper and it was shipped out in the afternoon and will arrive today. No shipping charge and no sales tax.....just saying.

I like him, and his products. Sometimes, if you are patient, you can get some really good buys from him.

I saw him at Hershey last October at a friend's swap site the specializes in 49-51 Fords. He was looking for NOS things that he could reproduce. I think he bought a steering wheel horn button and some other things. He paid exactly what my friend wanted with no dickering. That showed me what a class guy he is.

We should call him "Doctor Bob" for helping keep old Fords alive.
I doubt his profit margin would be worth the time and investment to most entrepreneurs.

There is a group of members here who constantly bash or bad mouth Bob Drake, but I am glad he is in business to support the hobbyists with parts for their old cars.

Most times we are quick to point out what we perceive as problems, but very slow to thank for good things done. Bob Drake, Dennis Carpenter and others provided a service making and supplying parts when none were available, I also thank them for their efforts; maintaining and restoring these old Fords would be next to impossible without their efforts....LouB.

As a dealer I have my share of frustrations of Bob's operation, however his passion for developing quality products is unmatched.

I've bought quite a few things from Bob Drake with good luck. This last item tho, (Upper Radiator Panel, Chrome) was very poor quality. The chrome was horrible and I'll probably paint it black before I use it. I just can't believe Bob would let the manufacturer get away with such low quality and how Bob would bring it in house and then sell it.
Sorry, Johnny
