1939 Ford Double Detent Shifter Top Reconditioned

For sale is an original 1939 Ford 81A double detent shifter top with the 3" 91A shifter fork. This shifter top has been completely dissembled, degreased, bead-blasted, and primed. The forks and rails have slight rust pitting as shown. The rails were blasted and polished on the lathe. They slide back and forth smoothly and should run many more miles, but they could be replaced if desired. The detent plug were removed and new springs installed. The threads for the shifter cap are nice. All you need is this top, a 78 case, and a side shift transmission for gears and you'll have a "39 trans".
