Default Washington/Riviera Blue Roadsters

Here is a photo of my '31 40-B Dlx. in Washington/Riviera Blue. I bought it from George Hawkins, a Utah Bees member, now gone to his everlasting reward. This is the way it came with the 'rattle can" yellow 16's. My commitment to George was to keep it as I fell in love with it, which I have done. I'm thinking that the Washington/Riviera Blue is the most popular color combination. This car was originally Brewster Green. My question to you Barners is, "Is my thinking right?" I'd like to see some photos of your Washington/Riviera Blue roadsters. Your comments will be appreciated. Thanks, Russ.

d.j. Thanks for the reference.....been there before. I know that you and brother Bill have some history, he's mentioned you more than once in our conversations. Maybe we will connect someday. What I'd like are Barners Washington Blue roadster fotos and maybe a count of how many are here on the Barn. Russ

Russ our Roadster is Stone Brown, but it's hard to top Wash. Blue seems like a lot of Roadsters are that color combo so it MUST be popular

I've never seen a bad color on a '30-'31 Roadster the lines of the car are too pretty to foul up with mere paint.

Good luck on this thread, it is interesting and I too am anxious to see the results!

My roadster was originally maroon and during the last rebuild I tossed around going back to it but went blue because that is what I really liked about the car in the first place.

Hello Russ, I have a washington blue with 16" tacoma wheels that belongs to my wife, was her dads car with a full nut and bolt restoration finished in 97. I have been blessed with being caretaker and chief mechanic after deciding to keep it when he passed. Has about 3000 miles on it and runs smooth.... good luck with the post. Dutie
