Default Brake switch

I know this isn't stock Model A but many have hydraulic brakes so I'm asking here.Trying to find a brake switch for my Model A with 40 brakes and silicon brake fluid. I find the switch at most of the local stores and inside the package is the warning either not compatible or not approved for use with silicon brake fluid. Does anyone have a part number and vendor recommendation for a switch that is compatible? If not I guess I could get DOT 3, blow out all the old and refill, but I'd like to stick with what I have. If I can't will blowing out the old work or do I have to disassemble everything and was in alcohol to switch back to DOT 3 from DOT 4?

I put silicon brake fluid in my MGA years ago.

It has a pressure type switch.

The switch worked fine for years but lately it requires heavy pressure on the pedal to activate the brake lights.

It does not leak.

I'm OK with just replacing the switch every few years...

Can a typical mechanical brake switch not be attached to the pedal assembly somehow?

I don't think I've ever driven a car or truck that didn't have one on the pedal assembly.

Is there a benefit to using one that is tied into the hydraulics?

The switch activates when you step on the brake. Mounted right at the M/C. Simplicity.

That would be my solution, as it's positive, doesn't touch the fluid, and comes on quicker than a pressure switch.

My Studebaker also has dot 5 silicone fluid and had a bad pressure switch when I bought the car about 4 years ago. I put in a new NAPA switch, and it lasted just short of 2 years, so NAPA gave me a new one under warranty. If it goes bad, then I'll wire up a mechanical switch.
