I have a trans. tower/top complete with front E-brake handle. The handles are chromed and it has the tin hole cover on it. It apears to have been rebuilt. Let me know what else your looking for as I have a few 28/29 parts I have gathered over the last 50 years. (707)964-3812 , that's in Fort Bragg,Ca.

I am looking for things like a radiator shroud, 2 venturi carb, early starter switch and rod and some nickel parts. I also need the drivers side rear axle housing. I am looking for original parts. The roadster I have has alot of repo parts. What do you have and what do you want for it?

I'm not real sure on the manufacture date. The body is stamped under the drivers seat with SFA1156. The emergency brake is in front of the shifter. The brake cross shaft has been changed out to a solid shaft. The dogbone U-joint cover is still there.

We need to know what month it was made & Engine # it is ?? Are you looking for SHOW items or just to get by with ??..For instance, original restored Bananna pop out switch, complete unit, with two used original matching #d keys $400.00..With two N.O.S. matching #d keys the price goes up !!.. Some Nickel items, ?? it has many..

You say " the emergency brake is if front of the shifter " , is it a pistol grip or push button handle ? This feature will help to pin the date down better such as early or late 28. Apparently you also have a seperate emergency brake cross shaft and 2 brake rods to each rear backing plate ?

There should be a date stamp on the driver side of the gas tank in the engine compartment; this is the date the gas tank was completed. The SFA 1156 refers to San Francisco Assembly Plant.

Do you need a short or longer choke rod ? The bracket on the inside determines which one you need, is the bracket on the bottom of the tank or near the front of the tank ?

Ron

I do have some spare 28 parts but need to determine your vehicle approximate date.

Suggest you get a copy of the "Judging Standards" or borrow a copy from one of your local A members to better determine what you have before buying any parts,

MOUNTAIN DEW ..........................
I have one early choke rod. Mine is 24 3/8" long with a bracket attatched at 9 1/4" from the bottom. The bottom hook is broken and would have to be worked on. The knob is not serated.
You can have it for $30.00 plus postage.
I have a universal joint cover, which is posted deep in here, somewhere. Check my "Threads Started".
