HOLY COW....I ACTUALLY WAS ABLE TO POST A PICTURE.
this is the picture I took of my 55 Ford carb spacer. can you see the area that looks like it would take a PCV hose ? It appears to have some type of plug in it.
All comments are appreciated...

That is the bore for the butterfly shaft. There is no spacer on the carb/manifold.

So then, thus is not a spacer but is a part of the carb, correct ?

Guess I will be looking for a spacer after all...

Correct. The base of the carb has the butterflies and the idle adjusting screws in it.
