Pretty sure those are International trucks. They aren't Ford.

Here's an image from my home town of Rockville, Maryland. Thanks to the Kensington (Maryland) Historic District. https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...1328724&type=1[IMG]

Please excuse the wheels and tires in the pic. 255-A Natural Wood Special Delivery. My dad purchased this car in the late 70's from a gentleman who heard about and went and rescued it from a ditch in rural Kentucky.
It was bought new from a traveling Ford show by a grocery store in Louisa, Kentucky. After its use as a grocery vehicle it was sold to a plumber who used it until it was sold to a rural mail
delivery person. It died one day and was coasted into a ditch where it sat for years.

This truck is a different shot of the same car I posted a few weeks ago a few replies before this one.

Pic 5 of last post---
Is that a 32 on the right with a couple of dents in the front guard?
And is that a Model A behind it?
Great pics Tim

I'd guess that; yes, it is a '32 but not an expert.
I'd say that; yes, that in the background is a 1930 Model A Phaeton squad car as used by San Francisco PD. I have a couple pictures of them.

Incidentally a trip by yourself from Cairo to Kufra and back would have involved travelling about 3000 miles across uncharted desert with no water or petrol or help of any kind. So if you ran out of water or fuel or broke down and could not fix the car you were more or less dead. The decision about what car to use would not have been taken lightly. and these early explorers bet their lives on the Model A Ford.
Hello, by looking for information about Ford A in the desert I found your Forum.

I would like to show you our Ford A. It is a reconstruction of the Almasy Ford used in 1933 in Egypt.
We are desert enthusiasts and travelling since many years in the Sahara – but in modern cars. Due to intensive investigations about several historical expeditions we decided to build a reconstruction of a Ford A as it was used in the desert in 1930ies.

This autumn we will do the first experiments of driving in the north African desert.

Find some more pictures about the expeditions and the car here:

Here is a picture of my model BB dump truck. I bought it from a good friend in Lunenburg Mass. When I went to register the truck I was informed it was the only BB Dump truck registered in Mass.

Pretty sure it says "Fordson School District" on the side of this bus.

Two panel deliveries belonging to a Dyeing and Cleaning company (middle cars).

A panel delivery belonging to a grocery store (on the left)

Kind of odd they didn't think to have any of those people sit in the cab...

Unloading a AA Dump truck off a rail car

Note the AA Deluxe Radiator Shell and the AA Deluxe Kitten on top of the gas tank.

Again with the not putting people in the front seat.

Tim, that second from last picture looks like a guy falling from a plane, just before the point of impact.

Hey look! White walls on a Model A!

This is a bigger picture of one I posted earlier in this thread. You can see two AA's in this one, second from left and furthest right.

I've been holding on to these pics for a while because they require some work to get them in an approriate size for posting on this forum. The original images are between 5-8mb! That being said, they are some of the cooler most high resolution pictures I have found of Model A's.

The pics come from the University of Kentucky, Lexington Digital Image Archives.

I would suggest that if you like a picture, click on the link below it to take you to the original image on the archive's webpage. From there you can zoom in to see an amazing level of detail that is fascinating for people who like the minute details.
