Help on 'UNIVERSAL TOP IRONS"
Help on 'UNIVERSAL TOP IRONS"
i have a pair of these 'Universal Top Irons" they have 3 holes punched in both sides of one arm, currently with a rivet in the center hole. Can anyone please tell me what each of the 3 holes adjust for which year or how are they used. I have a 29 roadster i want to use them on, but dont know if they will work. Then there is the question of what wood they will use as there are no sockets. I saw at CLASSIC WOOD in N.C. they sell 3 wood bowes for around $140...how would they work ?? Anyone have any directions for the Universal Top Irons they can share or send me a good photo of it ? Any assistance greatly appreciated. Thanks for looking, Jerbo |

I had to do a search for "universal top irons" having never heard of them. The ones offered by Speedway are very different from the original irons on my '28 roadster. If you posted a photo here you may get some insight from others. Or ask the question on the street rod & custom forum H.A.M.B, someone there has probably more info. Good luck with your project |
