Look the pictures over and watch the video from Rodders Journal regarding how and why they built this car ......Jackies other roadster won the AMBR in 2012...

Who votes on something like this? I suspect the Russians hacked the vote.

In California, the "Lowriders" are scraping the bottom of their cars at every intersection. In a couple of years, their cars will be a Fred Flintstone car with no floor! The sound makes me cringe. So much skill and money being dumped into something so trivial.

Great to see a 36 and not a 32 get some recognition. Also has fenders.

Track width is a bit narrow, but whom am I to say. Wheel choice also not to my liking.

When you lower you sacrifice track width. Just how it is, if you plan to drive it.

Super nice car though!!!!

I like restored cars better, but I have respect for builders. It's like asking, would you drive chips "impression"? and then say "Hell no"??. I say, yes please.

I'm an old fart. I like stock originals or period go-faster cars. That car is so low at the front, there can be no suspension movement. No point in looking pretty if it can't be driven.

Obviously a mega bucks built but the chrome door hinges are unneeded bling.
Can a car like a 50 Mercury convertible be a candidate to win that award or must it be a two seater pre WW II car?.

Now that car I can appreciate, although it is not exactly my cup of tea. It was built with good taste in the forefront. I personally would have liked to seen a little more , ummm, unconventional power plant, but for a SBC, that's pretty well done.

I believe the whole concept and design was based on Eric Black's artist renderings. Eric has drawn some beautiful 36 coupe and roadster concepts over the last several years and he has a great eye for what to get. George has really allowed several shops to show their skills in building great cars and he is a total gearhead. Congratulations to George, Pinkees , and Eric on the award

It’s not a sbc thank God. George Poteet is pretty good about putting Fords in Fords which is incredibly unique.

I think with the 36, Edsel was completely devoid of his fathers influence in styling. One of my favorites.

That is a fairly "new" famous or infamous car too. Depending on prospective. Always liked that 36.

Ed Szymansky's 1936 Ford coupe also as new "street rod" 36. But there are a many few to name.

Hard to beat the
1936 Ford Pierson Brothers Coupe.

just a brain fart.

I was referring to the "Moal" car, not the '36. It helps to read the entire thread.

Not my taste but fully respect the owners commitment to what he wanted.... it’s just too modern for me.

My apologies I thought we were talking about Poteet’s ‘36 still. I did read the whole thread but missed your point.

You’re right though Moal’s car would be more interesting to me with something a bit less belly button under the bonnet.
