Motor installation with float a motor mounts
Just a simple question about when a person re-installs an engine with float a motor mounts. Question is: Do you mount the upper part of the FAM before you lift the engine in or do you put them on once you get the engine lifted in place and you are ready to bolt them down? Hope this makes sense. I was just concerned about getting the engine around the steering column with the upper FAM bracket in place on the engine when moving it in.

Re: Motor installation with float a motor mounts
found it easier to remove the upper FAM on the driver's side to clear the column, then
re-install. |

Re: Motor installation with float a motor mounts
Thanks Duke36. This is what I was assuming would be a better way to go, not having any experience with FAM stuff.

Re: Motor installation with float a motor mounts
A little off the original topic, but IF I were to purchase FAM's, do all the vendors sell the same one, or are there differences in them?
