I agree completely with Franks ford. STAY AWAY FROM USING REVERSE OSMOSIS water. We have a home on an island off the Gulf coast. When the island went to RO water eventually every copper pipe virtually dissolved and all homes had to be completely re-plumbed with PVCE pipe. I also have a friend who was a printer back in the day. When they went to RO water their presses dissolved. The problem is RO water is very aggressive even though it is intrinsically pure. A good quality antifreeze is all you need.

Well I didn't know you could buy those zinc anodes already made up, but yes, they closely resemble what I make.

These are commonly used on boats, so boat supplys should have various products.

RV supply stores also have sacrificial zinc anodes because they are used inside the rv water heaters.
