Re: OT 8BA to Jeep
Sounds so Old School. I love the idea. Larger brakes too I hope!

Re: OT 8BA to Jeep
There was a guy on the old MSN Flathead forum who did that, and he was down in your neck of the woods as I recall. The only pic I have of it is this one, kinda silly. Somehow he even modified the heads to have the Willys script on them.

Re: OT 8BA to Jeep
I'm actually wanting to do this with a 50 4wd pick up which has the same trans as the cj2 and more room under the hood. I have the adapter to an 8ba type bellhousing but the clutch throwout stuff seems screwy.

Re: OT 8BA to Jeep
That was rocnroll. His interest was really Jeeps. Checking his profile, he posted last here in 2010, about the time Ryan took the Fordbarn over. I tried to find a picture of his jeep and flathead but all the pics have timed out.

Re: OT 8BA to Jeep
I recognize those upper hoses. Bicycle inner tubes. I have used them as lower hoses on my run stand with the valve stem on both sides for easy draining as my shop is un heated. I'm thinking this guy just hasn't had a chance to run out to napa yet.

Re: OT 8BA to Jeep
Ain't got a clue, but that would be my guess, especially with that substantial black cable protruding from within. I just found that picture on the interweb. DD |

Re: OT 8BA to Jeep
There was an episode of “My Classic Car” a while ago and a young man put a Flathead in a first gen Bronco. I think he was in Canada......Mark

Re: OT 8BA to Jeep
I'm working on a '67 Mustang and haven't totally ruled out putting a '51 Merc flathead in it. Had a six in it originally. Have a 351w as well, but..............it would be fun at cruise nights!!
