Whats the trick to this?

Hey guys, I am about ready to begin tapping, pushing and swearing at this molding piece to finish off my back roof seam.

Is there a trick to installing this stuff, or what worked well in the past for you?

Carve a 1" wide piece of Delrin to conform to the top of the moulding, then hit the Delrin with a dead-blow hammer to snap it on.

What is Delrin and a dead blow hammer? Is a dead blow hammer a ball peen hammer?

Not sure what Delrin is. A Dead Blow Hammer is like a plastic mallet, instead of being soild plastic it is hollow and filled with lead or other type of shot. Due to the plastic it typically will not mar the surface of what you are hitting, and the shot absorbs the bounce effect and all the energy is transferred to the material you are hitting, instead of bouncing ( hence the term dead blow).

FYI, Not all dead blow hammers are all plastic. I have a really nice Snap-on ball peen dead blow hammer that I use all the time. Works great with an impact driver.
