Default I Need an Oil Pan Drain Plug Gasket

So I dug through my collection of odd's and end's and found this. It's 15/16 outer diameter, 7/8 inner diameter and 1/16 wide. Am I in luck?

I went to pep boys and they hooked me up with a metric one and it is working for me.

Looks good to me. Does it fit the drain plug?
Thought I heard that a spark plug washer would work as well?

In a pinch, just rub #2 Permatex on the plug threads.

Land Rovers use the same one.

We found the copper one to leak, even after filing flat the pan mating surface. Used the fibre type with no leak so far and not overtightening the bolt. Perhaps a little Perm 2 as Bill suggests would help.

The A vendors sell them either alone or in the kits. They are a hard usually gray or black composition material, not cork. see post 9.

I believe the originals are the same as the Spark Plug gasket.
