Hey there fellas , I want to thank all of your for your kind words ,advice and the like. I made a very difficult decision and decided to NOT get the dream car model A Tudor that I was going to get. I think it mostly comes down to timing. now is not the time for being uncertain when $8900 is involved ,and that I do not have the living situation to be having a high maintenance automobile. It kinda sucks sometimes to make adult decisions ... its not much fun at all, but it's better than the self sabotage I was headed for. at least I know I can get a loan. and I have learned some things on how to trust your gut. as it can be difficult to decipher.

You sound like a wise man. Things will work out for you as you continue to think responsibly. Join a local club, make new "A" friends, you will enjoy the hobby even if now is not the time to purchase your own.

That's why it's not a good idea to get too excited about the purchase of any car, especially a high maintenance car. You may miss out on some bargains but make sure you have the money to buy and maintain it before you take the plunge.

Keep reading, join a club and follow the Ford Barn and you'll be better prepared when you decide you ready and able to buy a car.

With club membership also comes the advantage of local knowledge and unless you are already an expert the local club guys going with you to look over a possible purchase will be a big help when you do decide the time is right? Another thing about joining a club is that the members sometimes know where someone who has an A for sale at a good price.

thanks again for the good advice fellas. I would like to find some one around NH that has a Tudor I could sit in ... I have never sat in a Tudor. it would be good to sit in one so I am better prepared when and if the time becomes right to buy one. I also have never driven a mighty model A. but I understand it is a lot like driving a tractor/trailer / semi truck /18 wheeler and I have driven one of those. I am referring to the stoping distance and the like.

Agreed - or they may know of the car over the years and know how its been taken care of, if its been properly restored, how it was driven, etc.

The ol trifecta of any older car is this: Time Money Space - pick 2. Highest priority is money to buy and maintain it and 2nd is space as nature is trying to kill the car 24/7/365 from rain snow sunlight critters etc.

There are plenty of Model A owners in southern NH. In fact, there are some right there in Epping. You need to get out to a couple of car shows this summer.
