Default Gear shift boot

I know they aren't original equipment, but what are the opinions about the boot they sell for the gear shifter and the E-brake handles?

While they aren't original equipment, my car is a driver so I am using both. I feel anything that will help seal the passenger compartment from dust and fumes is a good thing.

Mine are not fine point vehicles just drivers, so I use them on the trans tower, it keeps out a bit of draft, dust etc, and they actually look pretty good

yup - that's why I recently added one to my Mitchell Overdrive shift lever as well - didn't like staring down at the road through the hole in the floor!

Also - I know how things go - someday, myself or a passenger will end up dropping something that would inevitably find its way right to that hole, never to be seen again...

I have been looking for a suitable "boot" for my F150 tranny.

I'd make one from leather, and lace up the seam.

I like em both. They appear to have been made for the job. Only dyed in the wool enthusiasts know they aren't original

I did like Tom suggested. I made my own out of soft leather. They are nice and tidy and even look period correct.

I had the boots on my car when I bought it 25 years ago. They split, I bought another set, and then took them off. My car is also a driver and I may put them back on. Like slammin and holdover both said they keep the cold and dirt out.
Thanks for the input.
