Default 1930 Cabriolet hood/cowl band retainer

Cabriolet and deluxe owners,

Is this stainless combination hood to cowl retainer correct for a mid-later 1930 Cabriolet? Currently I just have the painted one, but can't find anything in the judging about this style which seems a lot nicer to me to match the SS cowl band also so the two parts do not rub together.

Thanks

RG&JS page 15-7 has some information on the hood hinge bracket but is not clear which vehicles had the chrome plated brass or stainless steel hood hinge bracket.

There is no information on this bracket in section G Cabriolet of the RG&JS

Thanks. I do see it was mentioned in judging where you reference. Bratton's says it was used on "some" deluxe models. I think I may get it in SS as it should match up well with the SS cowl band.

try to find a original. almost all the repro`s do not to fit worth a s--t. some of them you can grind and make them work, I have never seen a plated brass one.
