Default Block casting numbers

I have what appears to be a 49-53 block. There are two casting numbers on the bellhousing mating flange. In the center there is the number 24. On the right side, it says 34B. Anybody know what year this is?

It is 2013, and 34B is a bra size. 24 is two dozen, but no one really knows what casting numbers mean.... ..B.

What more do you need to know if you already have it narrowed down to a '49-'53 block? They're all alike so it should be irrelevant what its exact lineage is.

You may or may not be able to get date of mfg. located on intake surface on passenger side rear.

Ford Canada blocks will have "C8BA" cast into the rear until '51, then they are marked "C1BA" to show the changes to the valve train and the different crank to fit up to the Fordomatic. ..B.

The center hole in the '51 and up crank is much larger to accept the hub of the torque converter. ..B.
