Default Odd Brake Issue

When my 1930 sedan sits for several days and I go to take it out, one wheels brake grabs hard and makes a loud noise. It kinda of sounds like other drum brake cars when the shoe hold down spring or clip is broken. After you apply the brakes 2/3 times every thing works like it should. Also the car doesn't pull to one side. I don't think its some to be overly concerned about but I'd like to know where to look. Maybe another lock down project.
Any thoughts? Thanks, Steve

MMMM sounds like one drum is grabbing when cold and heats up and expands. Could be a simple adjustment of the wedge.

A cracked or broken brake shoe lining will cause this as well.

You didn't say whether it was front or back . I had a similar problem with a rear wheel brake . The old grease at one of the rear brake cam SHAFTS was causing a tightness or a bind . I disconnected the brake rod on the effected rear wheel to feel for the bind at the rear brake lever . I removed the grease fitting and sprayed in some penetrating oil to soften the old grease . After washing out the old grease , I installed a new grease fitting and greased the shaft . works good now . Just a thought .
