Default gear shift knob adapter

Where can I get adapters for original marble gear shift knobs to be able to use on a model a gear shift?

I found the right thread size nut and epoxied it in the knob. Worked great.

I am trying to find a couple of the original type adapters which I believe were made out of brass. I have seen them at Hershey before. Thanks for your reply.

Oil the shifter threads, fill the knob with JB-Weld & screw it on.

I just drill and tap a brass bolt and cut it off and make what ever you need. the Model A is 5/16" fine thread.

Orchard Supply Hardware (In Cal) or specialty hardware stores sometimes carry the thin brass sleeve adapters. Also, some knobs sold on ebay come with a variety of thread adapters. I saw some recently at our local Ace Hardware but not sure of the size.
