Headlight bucket internals
40/41 pickup headlight bucket. See picture. If I remember correctly, the grey internal ring is somehow "attached/welded" to actual bucket - mine is currently loose. Can someone please help with specifics. Thanks.

Held in with rivets isn't it ?

Yes, rivetted as stock. As they're already apart you could improvise with small screws/nuts. brass would be good. Depends if you desire full originality. The stock rivets have a slightly domed head and are sort of spread on the other side like a brake shoe rivet.

Rivets are fine. I see the 4 holes now. Thanks. Anyone have the correct orientation of the ring to the bucket? Picture? Are both right and left bucket the same orientation? Thanks again

left if you have the bucket on your bench. Left and right buckets are identical. (May not apply to the wires, but even then I think they would be the same). Mart. Edit: The orientation is as you have it in your photo. |
