Flathead hot air heater.
I am wondering if anybody else is useing the V/8 exhaust manifold heater that is very much like the Model A exhaust manifold heater. My 35 right side manifold has a heat exchanger cast in the manifold and has a removable cover that catches air from the fan and exits through passenger side floor boards. I used it many years ago but somehow misplaced the removable cover and just this year found one. I had forgotten how much heat it supplies. The exchanger is cast of the same metal as the rest of the manifold so does not have leaks like the regular exhaust heater. I think they were made by the Atlas Company.

I have one on my 39 coupe. It is different from yours in design, but never the less, works great and I would not part with it. Charles

Re: Flathead hot air heater.
Ken and Charles, thanks for your replies but the heaters you are siteing are the exhaust pipe systems ford offered. This heater is a throwback to the Model A Exhaust Manifold heater. Either I am the only one with one of these V/8 cast exhaust heaters or am not getting many responces due to me not being one of the "Good Ole Boys" on this site.

Re: Flathead hot air heater.
You need pictures to generate interest, and to jog the memorys of what we have seen in the past ---the one you have is different than the more common "ford" type.
