Default Registration Receipt, Texas Oct. 1916

A friend of mine who knows I like old Fords gave me a registration receipt from Cherokee County, Texas specifically Rusk, Texas dated Oct 18th 1916, No 487. The name of the car listed is Ford, capacity 5 passengers, horsepower 20. It says the numbers attached to the car must be at least 6 inches high. The fee for this transaction was 50 cents. Does this document have any value or interest for those having a Ford prior to 1916? I can be reached at [email protected], or 903-714-5725

Orcaslanding, 1916 was the last year in Texas that required you to do your own license plate. In 1917 they issued their first metal plate and a round validation seal that ofter went on the radiator. The papers probably would be worth something to a collector but I would think it would not be much. However the early plates themself fetch a fair price and also the round or rectangular validation stickers.
