Default Oil filter fittings

Gang....

Trying to piece together the components to run my lines for my oil filter. I am trying to find out the part number for the fitting that the oil pressure guage goes into. Also, what fittings are run on the line and into the block and canister. Any ideas? Attached is a webpage of what I am talking about. Thanks

The fitting in your pic is used from 51-53, before that, the oil pressure unit was threaded in the block. THe part number is 1BA 6073 . THe lines are 1/4 inch steel tubing. You can use straight 1/4 brake lines, as Ford superceded the pre bent line to bulk tubing. THe lower fitting for the return is part number 87971-S ( standard hardware ) It is a 1/8 x 7/16 -24 fitting . Napa or any good parts store will have the fitting, also the 1/4 inch line will have the fittings on it also.
If you need that fitting for the oil sender, there are 3 places that show it in stock.

Kilmesh auto Sales, Calmar, Ia. 1-563-562-3241
Antique auto supply, Arlington, Tx. 1-817-275-2381

THe last person is a pleasure to deal with. Best prices also. He has even sent me stuff and had me pay later,

Hope this helps you,

It is not as easy as going to Napa as many of the fittings are obsolete. Also, Ford didn't use steel tubing in 1940 for this application.
Picture is of the early AND late parts utilized in 1940.

OK, I went by your pic from Van Pelt's. You have a comletely different set up if it's on a 1940 engine.

My engine is a 8ba. So I realize it might be different. JDL has all the components and pics I have. It is finding the parts that I need before ordering. I am sick of getting the wrong stuff. You know.... Thanks for the help though.
