? regarding phaeton top
Have an early AR phaeton and the top has no rests in the back, however there appears to be 2 "punch outs" for rests. Can someone explain why there are no rests and why the "punch outs" haven't been opened?
What do the rests look like? thanks! |

Re: ? regarding phaeton top
Those are rubber plugs filling the holes as the top rests were an accessory item.

Not mounted on a 35A (actually on 35B) but this gets the idea across.

Re: ? regarding phaeton top
Brent,
On the second picture of the 35B, I noticed the rag between the top iron and the body. I do the same with my 35B to prevent scratching. Do you know of any cures for this? Thanks, Will |

Re: ? regarding phaeton top
In my experience that is typically due to reproduction top bows. I've never tried tweaking them on a finished car.
