Suzuki samara (jimney) has the same bolt pattern if you need an axle to make a small trailer.

Busy with taillights and tailgate.
All of the wood used is reclaimed wood from old glass transportation pallets.
My neighbour has new windows in his house and these pallets were standing for a couple of weeks near my house,he wanted to scrap them and put in the dumpster,i could have them for free.
It were all planks 2.50 meters long pine, rough unsanded but strong.
As my model A is unrestored and has a lot of patina the looks of the trailer will be matched much as possible, reclaimed wood looks like it is many years old.

i like it - i would have made the rear tailgate slatted so its easier to tow. Whats your plans for fenders?

What do you mean with slatted?
I don't have fenders yet, would like model A pickup fenders but the are rare and expansive.
Standard trailer fenders are too small, only up to 15 inch.
Actually i like to run it without fenders, like the look.....it is more farm like this way but you have to have fenders by law.
Must scratch my head about it,sit down, have a smoke and let the grey matter do it's work

Slatted: meaning building the tailgate the same as the sides of the trailer. With slats.
Either way it looks great! Keep up the good work. Jeff

Some would say " less wind resistance ". At Model A speed it won't make any difference.

Ah.......the reason i made the tailgate closed is i had the idea to use it as an extension of the floor when needed, chains would keep it level with the floor.

Most trailer makers here use Al-Ko including IRS
http://www.alko.com.au/
Parts can be had even out in the sticks.

Did some more work, lights, hinges and locks on the tailgate and all the wood is treated with preserving paint.

The rubber suspension (rubber in torsion or rubber in compression) really work well. They have been used for ever.

Hey Rene, how do you get that accent over the last e? I can’t find it on my keyboard.

Back to the trailer, you might want to check existing laws for trailers over there. We don’t have to have brakes on small trailers in the U.S., but I think they do in Canada. That means I would be stopped at the border and not allowed entry unless my utility trailer had electric brakes. I even think they check to make sure they are hooked up and working.

Just a reminder. It would be crappy to get everything hooked up and find out it wasn’t legal in Belgium or wherever.

Hi Mike,i don't know if you are using the same keyboard as we do,but i press the marked button before the e and then you get the é.
The laws are everywhere in the Eurozone the same,so no worries there, besides that i won't be travelling any further as Belgium or Germany with the A towing the trailer.....

Heads up on your latches. I had similar ones on our trailer and without some sorta pin keeping the latch closed it tends to bounce open... Dont ask how i know haha
