Step Pad for 31 Cabriolet
I am going through some boxes of stuff looking for things to get ready for paint. I have a rumble seat step pad with integral mounting bracket. It is an original Model A part stamped with part number A-70480. However, this number does not show up in part supplier catalogs. Can anyone verify that this is a correct part for the 31 Cabriolet.
Also, the pad was cast with the mounting bracket. What is the correct finish for the pad? Thanks for your help, Ed |

The rear bumper square step plate with integral cast bracket was used from April 1929 to October 1929. The correct 31 step plate for your Cabriolet is a round cast aluminum with a carriage bolt in the middle. It was used on the fender and the rear bumper bracket, with a mounting bracket. You should buy a copy of the Restoration Guidelines. It has all of the details and changes.
