Yes, after looking at lots of later Model A's, these early cars do really get your attention. I can't help but look at the paint, and not to belabor the obvious, but green isn't listed as either an early or late 28 color. Vagabond green is listed as a 29 Tudor color. With such a correct chassis from what we can see, this car would make a good fine point candidate to restore. Is that an original center bumper clamp?

Similarly, the braided strip across the top of the door and rear side trim panels was also a near perfect duplicate to the original custom made at BIG bucks per foot.

I have no idea who the previous owner was but the one photo tells the story. It's great to see an example of someone going the extra mile because they care.
It's still the original interior. It has a little wear in the rug, but otherwise the interior still looks much like new. The car sat from 1956 until about two weeks ago. Thank you for noticing the detail.

Frank,
We should do a photo shoot of your car so Brent & Marco and others can see how unique this car is !! I will not post the engine number until I clear it with you.

What is the cutoff date for "early" '28s? I recently bought this May '28. Does it come under the "early" umbrella? Also, what is an "AR" Model A?
Thanks.

The cars with the parking brake handle next to the left door are generally refered to as "AR". Your's with the center parking brake would be a mid 28 and not called "AR".

AR is not a correct term and you can see threads about it by using the SEARCH feature at the upper right.

The steering column on my 6/1/28 tudor does not have a grease fitting to lube the sector shaft. I've always thought that it must be an early column. True or false?

· Until February 1928, early cars had the door straps lower. After driving it, I know the reason it was raised. It gets in the way.

With the original interior being so nice, is this a low mileage car? Would love more pictures.

I had an opertunity to spend quite a while looking at this early 28 last week at Mike's. It is in very good condition and truely unique. To the best of my knowledge all the early parts are there and in good condition. I believe it also has an original fan belt. I thank Frank for being it out so we can view it, and look forward to seeing it again at Mike's.
