The only problem? Getting there - going across the bridges and the roads - all are pretty rough. I was totally airborne 3 times getting there and my roadster took a pretty good beating but got me there and back. Even lost a hubcap on the way back. But, Lord willing and the creek don’t rise, I’ll be back again next year. When checking out the article, my good friend John’s Mod A is shown right before me. Super nice car and the Hemming’s rep that was there will he doing an article on it at some point. Funny thing - that car has nearly all “Virginia” parts. I sold him the flattie, the suspension is all 40 Ford from my old 40 coupe, the body and frame was purchased as a stalled project just a few miles from me, and the wheels and tires from our buddy Earl who lives in Gloucester. Funny how things happen and he has put it all together into one really nice car. It was a great day with perfect weather ... thanks for posting this! |
