Default Speedometers/judging

I have a Northeast oval speedometer with very nice original numbering, rebuilt, runs great. This speedometer does not have the trip stem, limited production. The restoration guidelines pertaining to this speedometer have a contradiction. On page 6-3 the paragraph at the bottom says the speedometer was introduced December 1929 and used through June 1930. The picture, letter C, says used December 1928 through June 1930. Question is what is correct? This speedometer can be used for fine point judging and with it, the correct dash panel without the notch all nicely restored. I need the correct information as I do not want to misrepresent the speedometer. Thank you.
