Hi Dennis,

After years of experience, one learns that the negotiating person doing the offering is just as important and most of the times more important than the amount of the cash price offer.

Depending on how important this transaction may be, do you have a shapely, friendly good looking lady that wears short dresses in your neighborhood willing to intercede?

Not meant to be funny ..... just trying to assist.

Dennis, your offer was very generous. If he wants to sell them, he will get back to you.
I wouldnt expect a higher offer......... my 2 cents.

Hi Dennis,

Per your Reply #4 ..... Agree .........Not much difference between either of your wants & needs.

Per Reply #2 ........ Just send the lady in the short dress to help clarify this dubious situation.

If you are only seeking the rear fenders, buy the Albrecht-manufactured fenders and then spend some time detailing them to look exactly like originals. Bend the wire-edge wrapped metal back around the fender brace hole and scallop it like original. Find the correct bolt hole reinforcement and install it. Purchase the correctly shaped running board reinforcing plates and the apron reinforcements from Will Cronkrite, --and then spend about an hour on each fender with a thread file redefining the lip serrations, and you would have a pair of fenders equaling what an original NOS fender is.
