Thumbs down 36 or 37 deluxe 5 window coupe

Hello again thanks for all you guys help
wondering if in '36 if Ford would have put a '37 flat head in my '36 5 window coupe?
the rear windows have 3-36 on the Ford emblem but i'm not sure when the body met the frame.
Is it possible that the '37 flat head was stock in late '36?

Pretty sure back in the day ford would replace an engine rather than fix. So one possibility was instead of a major repair they took new one off shelf.

It's MORE likely that a defective '36-type engine was replaced possibly early-on by a '37-type engine. DD

Ford tended to use up old stock so it is more likely to find an old assembly in a car than a newer one. Like already stated more likely a later replacement to correct a problem with the original.
