Electronic distributor 47 pickup
I looked back into old posts but haven't seen anything resent on this subject. I am thinking about covering to a
electronic distributor it seems harder to find original compasitors and I am getting older and tired of working on distributor. Any body have good or bad to say on electronic distributors? Who makes a good conversation kit? Thanks, Ron

I think Pertronix 12 volt is one of the most suitable , not very sold on the six volt Pertronix, I went back to points ,the points seem to last quite a while ,talk to some of the other Barners on the capacitors.

The FA54 condensor is a very good unit from NAPA. The pertronixs elec conversion is very good as well IF its 12 volts with a alternator. The "dirty" generator voltage can cause a problem. I would suggest running the crab as is.... |
