A Work of Art:
After having some carburetor problems on the RPU I have been trying to build myself a carburetor without much success. No matter what I tried the carb was always way too rich.
Finally after reading Brent's recommendation I sent an email to Jim Adams in Tennessee. He responded and inquired as to what I wanted. Jim and I exchanged several emails discussing various options for a carburetor. I sent him the carb that I wanted rebuilt. He contacted me again and told me that the carb I sent was not appropriate for my March 1929 pickup. He said that he had a Holley carb that he would be willing to trade for that would be just right. He started building and I received the carb in the mail yesterday: 100_0252.jpg My first impression when I opened the box and saw the carb was that I should build a wooden base for it and hang it on the wall. It was too beautiful to put on my truck. It should be on display some where. 100_0254.jpg Today I mounted it on the motor and fired her up. The only thing prettier than the way it looks, is the way it makes the truck run. She, the truck, idles so nice. Unfortunately I didn't get to drive it today because it rained most of the day. Hopefully tomorrow. Unfortunately my pictures don't do the carb justice. Thanks Jim for a beautiful job. |

Re: A Work of Art:
Jim does any carbs that I use for my customers. Good work and the price is definitely right.
