Default 55 ford steering col wiring loom routing?

Question for you guys on the 55 Ford steering column wiring loom routing. Was there a metal cover on the underside of the steering col tube that served to cover the turn signal wiring loom which runs from the switch down to under the dash?
There is one very small screw midway down the steering col tube , would that be to retain a metal cover over the wiring loom?
Could not find an illustration of this in the Ford books I have. Maybe someone can post one?
Thanks!
Steve

YES - there was a metal cover on the column. I threw mine away when I upgraded to a new steering wheel and column.

There is a 3-piece metal wire harness cover consisting of an upper conduit, lower conduit and a one-hole strap which is located at the joint between the two conduit pieces. It is not on the bottom, but on the left side of the column, running straight down from the hole in the back of the steering column hub where the wire harness comes out.

Dave.....thats great and thanks for the info. Now , does anybody have these extra parts laying around to sell?? I doubt they are being reproduced anywhere , would have to come from a parts car or from a past project. Thanks for checking. you can text or call me at 608-738-1861 or email me at [email protected].
Thanks !

Oh, I forgot one other thing. There is also a special spring-steel clamp that snaps in around the steering column that captures the bottom of the conduit and holds it tight to the steering column.
I do have a complete set of those four parts BUT THEY ARE PART OF A MORE COMPLETE SET with an entire '55 Ford car manual trans steering column, including turn-signal components, bearing-centering coupler, spring, and all the hardware for the gear-shifting rods. I will not break up the set. Willing to sell the whole thing though. BTW, the metal parts have all been stripped to bare metal and ready for primer and finish coat by the customer.
